Did you know that until Inge's discovery it was believed that the earth had three layers and that its centre was hollow, as described in Jules Verne's legendary "Journey to the Centre of the Earth"? Inge Lehmann was awarded many important prizes for her discovery, and is also the inspiration for this collection.
